Mission Statement: To understand how the coupled extremes of irradiation and corrosion work in synergy The EFRC program, initiated in 2009, brings together the skills, talents, and expertise of teams of scientists to perform energy-relevant, basic research with a scope and complexity beyond what is possible in standard single-investigator or small-group awards. During his time as an early career scientist as part of the FUTURE-EFRC, he characterized the chemical and structural evolution of materials in coupled corrosive and radiation environments using STEM and isotope-sensitive APT. In 2009, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science/Office of Basic Energy Sciences established the Energy Frontier Research Centers (EFRCs). These EFRCs are composed of small teams of leading university and national laboratory researchers focused on solving specific scientific problems that are blocking clean energy development. Fundamental Understanding of Transport Under Reactor Extremes (FUTURE) is an Energy Frontier Research Center funded by the Office of Basic Energy Science in the Department of Energy. The knowledge generated by the EFRCs will lay the scientific groundwork for future advances in solar energy, nuclear energy, energy conversion and storage, electronics and computation, production of fuels and chemicals, carbon capture, and control of the earth’s subsurface. The EFRC is affiliated with the College of Engineering's Department of Aerospace Engineering and supports the class and individual projects of the university’s various undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral engineering students.
The Center for Performance and Design of Nuclear Waste Forms and Containers, which is shortened to“WastePD”, was established as an Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC) in 2016. The Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for the EFRCs referred to the report from a DOE workshop held lastyear on Basic Research Needs for Environmental Management (BRN-EM). The Basic Energy Sciences (BES) program supports basic scientific research to lay the foundations for new energy technologies and to advance DOE missions in energy, environment, and national security. EFRC is a leading fire and safety companies in Abu Dhabi.

EFRC offers a variety of fire safety training courses and fire safety training Abu Dhabi and throughout UAE. Our fire safety training courses that provide information, resources and the practical skills you need to establish and maintain safe practices in your work environment.
The goal of this EFRC is to explore the commonalities in the degradation of glass, ceramics and metals during exposure to aqueous environments so as to advance the fundamental understanding of the environmental degradation of these different forms of matter that

EFRC has long experimented with alternative aviation propulsion including work on the battery-powered e-Spirit of St. Louis and hybrid-electric Eco Eagle piloted airplanes. The twin-rotor/twin- motor Heurobotics Mk. 2 eVTOL unmanned aircraft system (UAS) — see “ Lift Where You Need It ,” Vertiflite , Nov/Dec 2016 — provided the electric motor-and-rotor pods now used on the PAV- ER testbed.
